Aloha,
The Board of Directors of the Waikiki Banyan has begun to look at a systematic, phased-in approach to reopening the amenities on the 6th floor, in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines. The first phase will involve reopening of the pool and jacuzzi, with modified hours, beginning Monday, June 1.
Please note the following important details:
- Swimming Pool – Pool will be open for exercise only, via reservations made through the Security department
- Open Hours: 8am – 6pm
- Reservations will be taken by Security in 1-hour increments for the following time slots:
- 8am – 9am
- 9:30am – 10:30am
- 11am – 12pm
- 12:30pm – 1:30pm
- 2pm – 3pm
- 3:30pm – 4:30pm
- 5pm – 6pm
- No more than (10) people will be allowed to occupy the pool area during each time slot; please ensure you provide all names in your party to Security so they have an accurate accounting of the number of people who will be present during each time slot
- Seating at pool limited to (10) lounge chairs; residents/guests are required to bring their own towels to completely cover the chairs
- Our janitorial staff will sanitize handrails and clean the bathrooms during each 30-minute “break” interval
- Reservations may be made 24-hours in advance; we ask that you book one time slot per day to ensure all who wish to use the pool are able to do so
- Jacuzzi – Jacuzzi will be open
- Open Hours: 8am – 6pm
- Jacuzzis will be available for your use during your reserved pool hour; while we won’t be taking reservations to use the jacuzzi, we ask that not more than (2) people occupy the jacuzzi at the same time, physical distancing is adhered to, and that soaking time is limited to 20-minute intervals, should there be others waiting
- 6th floor Restrooms – Restrooms will be open
- Open Hours: 8am – 6pm
All who wish to use the recreation deck facilities will be required to sign a waiver limiting Waikiki Banyan of liability. The waivers are available in Security and one will need to be signed for each reservation. You will receive a copy of the waiver once signed. Please bring the waiver with you to the pool during your reserved hour as it will be used as reservation verification.
As guidance changes, the Board will continue to review the facilities and make changes accordingly.
Mahalo,
Roxanne Manuel
