Aloha WB Ohana,

As a follow up to my email dated 8/20/18 advising of the NEW 2019 Property Bulk Cable TV/Wi-Fi/Internet service which will begin for all 876 units on January 1, 2019, I would like to advise everyone that the new carrier, Hawaiian Telcom will be beginning the construction and install wiring phase for this NEW service on Tuesday, September 4th. 
 
Hawaiian Telcom will be mobilizing there tech crew and begin to do initial work in the common area hallways of Tower 2 by doing installation of the NEW fiber optic cabling that will be installed throughout the property and into each unit.  Hawaiian Telcom and a member of our AOAO staff will need to do preliminary checks in each unit to verify connection points from the outside hallways, through the properties “raceways or conduits” and we are looking at doing one (1) floor per day starting on Wednesday, September 5th with work schedules going from 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. 
 
Listed below will be the tentative schedule for next week and our Security/Assistant General Manager, Gilbert has already started contacting units/agents/residents of these specific floors to coordinate the needed access to units which should last about 10-15 minutes per unit for this initial phase of the wiring process.  (NOTE:  This initial phase of installs will NOT affect your present cable service as service provider (Hawaiian Telcom) is just doing preliminary wiring/installations for our NEW system/network which will not start till 1/1/19)
 
  • Wednesday, September 5th:  Tower 2: 6th floor units (601-614)
  • Thursday, September 6th: Tower 2: 7th floor units (701-714)
  • Friday, September 7th: Tower 2: 8th floor units (801-814)
 
As we see the progress next week for these initial construction installs for our NEW system, we will send out notices for the next phase of floors that will be done as we work our way through each floor/tower as part of this process which will take a few months to complete.
